St. Jude is a research hospital that focuses on diseases in children. Once a child is admitted, the family never receives a bill. Their daily running costs are around $2.4 million. They pay for all this through donations, charity events, ALSAC funding, and research grants. St. Jude shares it's research freely regardless of affiliation. This means that everyone can benefit from the research performed there, if they choose to.
